You can update a member’s contact information (physical address or mobile phone) or their identity information (name, date of birth, social security number, or language) in the Health Wallet Manager.
How to update a member's details
Find the member.
From the member’s profile, select Edit for Contact Information or Identity Information.
Make your edits.
Select Save.
Contact information
Primary email
At this time, you cannot edit a member's primary email in the Health Wallet Manager. This will be resolved with an upcoming release. Until then, contact support if needed.
For each member, you can update their:
Physical address
Mobile phone
Backup email
Mailing address
Mail will be sent to the member's physical address unless a separate mailing address is added.
Identity information
For each member, you can update their:
Full name
Date of birth
Social security number
Language
Identity verification
If a member has not yet passed identity protocols for opening a health savings account, updating their social security number or date of birth will restart the identity verification process.
Multifactor authentication and phone number updates
A member’s mobile phone number might be tied to how they log in to the platform. If the new number is also their login number, reset the member’s multifactor authentication so they can re-verify.
If you request to reset a member’s multifactor authentication, they’ll be prompted to add a new number for multifactor authentication the next time they log in to the app.
Update history
Any edits to the member details by an admin in the Health Wallet Manager will appear in the member’s History tab as “[Setting] Updated via Admin Edit.”
Manual detail updates and file uploads
At organizations that upload files for enrollment, contributions, or census, a member's details can be changed by either a manual update in the Health Wallet Manager or a file upload—the most recent update wins.
Update files after a manual change
If a member’s details are updated in the Health Wallet Manager and a later file contains older data, the file upload will overwrite those changes.
